Fell: 1969, September 28,between 10h45m and 11 h 00m L.T.
Type: STONE, carbonaceous chondrite, CM2
Description: A fireball was seen. It was parted into three pieces before its disappearing. After that a cloud of smoke was seen and 30 seconds later a tremor was heard. A shower of stones fell in an area of over 5 square miles. The largest stone weighed about 7kg and over 100kg were recovered. Dozens of scientific papers examine different aspects of this meteorite.
